Support Program for Children & Youth
The Support Program for Children &
Youth living in long-term foster care is primarily
to provide social interaction and recreational opportunities for children
and youth with intellectual and/or physical disabilities who are living in
long-term foster care. This
program provides individual and group home support to enrich the quality
of life for
these children and youth by providing activities out in the community
geared to their
interests and abilities. Referrals must be made by a social worker.
The Support Coordinator will also act as a
liaison between foster families, contract
workers, and social workers.
