Background
CLASI is a non-profit, charitable
organization operated by a volunteer Board of
Directors. Founded in 1955 by parents and professionals concerned by the
lack
of services for children and adults with special needs, the Association
initiated
services such as Elmwood Residences Ltd., Cosmopolitan Industries, John
Dolan
School, Integrated Preschools and a host of recreational activities for
children and
adults with intellectual disabilities. What
Community Living Means
Community Living means growing up in a family, going to school and church
in your
own neighbourhood, finding meaningful work, having a place to call home,
and
being
a participating member of the community you live in.
Everyone, regardless of their
ability, deserves a good life in the community! |
